Africans are great lovers of fashion wears. The women in particular are known to be best lovers of fashion in the African countries. As a continent, Africa boasts of so many events and occasions that demand specific fashion attires. When it comes to what to put on in certain occasions Africans have their preferences. The same thing applies to various seasons being celebrated in the African soil.
During the Christmas seasons in Africa, lots of events are staged. Christmas period is a time of re-union for members of the extended family. It is also the best time for traditional and wedding ceremonies. There are also family meetings, church engagements and other tribal meetings. In such Christmas seasons the fashion suit is not so much celebrated. During the traditional marriage ceremony that takes place during the Christmas periods, traditional attires are mainly used. The fashion suits are only used once on the d-day of the white wedding. In the other events of the Christmas periods such as tribal and family meetings, the fashion code is purely traditional. The suits are kept in the wardrobes.
During summer and winter holidays in Africa, the fashion suits are also kept in the wardrobes. This is because, the holiday seasons are not meant for work session. Suits in Africa when put on connote the idea of duty and work. Hence, most company workers who used to be on suit on daily basis use the holiday periods to enjoy most other
traditional and casual wears. They usually live like that until the holiday periods are over. In all, fashion suits are very silent during the festive seasons in Africa. They are only used for wedding ceremonies during the holiday periods. The traditional attires reign supreme in holiday periods.
